Food anatomization : Atmosphere 6,Pune

This one had been in my wish list for like eternity - and  I must give it in for the ambiance of the place - amazing, an awesome rooftop setting - it hits you instantly - the cool breezy weather and a rooftop setting, which is just enough to sweep you off your feet! :P Splendid!!

The place is quite spread across and houses more than 30 or more tables - they are inbuilt with the ability to cater all sort of audiences from small to big groups - I must say quite varied in terms of seating arrangements. Loved the mini huts put up and their lounge seating.
As you step out of the lift, the blue neon lighting on the wall with Atmosphere 6 board is highly eye catchy and kind of enlivens you.
During the time we were here they were even  projecting the match - it was back during the world cup days.
They have a colorful dance floor setup right as you enter in.

Coming to the reaction from my hunger pangs, my taste buds weren't as satiated. In short the food did not make me as happy as the highly refreshing ambiance.
We started and ended with just three starters - for some reason they seemed to have similar taste but tasted about good. Albeit, this prompted us to skip the main course!!
We ordered for the BHATTI DA MURGH - chicken in Amritsari preparation. This was quite an average dish.
PAHADI CHICKEN TIKKA - tandoor-ed and marinated in a probable mix of mint, coriander and green chili paste. It was quite juicy but an average dish yet again.
RAJASTHANI MURGH KA SOOLA - was the spicy one, succulent chicken chunks marinated in onion and fresh chili paste. This one for me was the stellar dish of the three.

Majorly from what I understood, this place draws all its limelight for its ambiance.

The music being played was just rocking - kudos to the DJ. The place is buzzing with people by 930-ish. Do make sure to make prior reservations - they do have a cover charge, which is recoverable against your order. There are few artists who perform over the weekends.

The staff is very cooperative and helpful with options. Plus points to the corporate discounts you can avail, if you have your corporate id card.

A good place to kick start your weekend - varied crowds from youngsters to families.
They have few folks for photographing your joyous moments here:)

Art conglomeration : Glass Painting - Ganpati Bappa

After a long time I dug my hands to unveil the artistic side in me.
I tell you these hobbies really make a huge difference in your life - for me it actually works like a therapy to relieve me of the stress of the week. And the immense satisfaction on seeing the end result is heavenly - however good or average it might be.
It just reminds me that I should keep trying and with time I shall become better at whatever I am trying to achieve.
Everyone MUST adopt a hobby - this should be inculcated as a part of the childhood learning's.

Ganpati Bappa to be sketched down on a glass had been on my wish list since the time I did my first glass painting. Not that I did numerous paintings after that, albeit this is my second only. :D

So first let's start by the things you would need:

  1. Glass
  2. Cloth
  3. Glass paint - I used the Camlin glass colors (soluble based)
  4. Black Glass Outliner
  5. Design
  6. Metallic Acrylic colors
  7. Poster colors
  8. Brush
  9. Palette

First and foremost the glass needs to cleansed - you could wet the glass and clean it with a cloth thoroughly. Make sure there are no marks left on the glass. Let the glass dry completely before you start with your artwork.

First would need to place the design on the base of the glass and start tracing over it. This has to be done with the black glass outliner - if your design asks for it.
Since I had to do a blue outline of the Ganpati - I used brush and the glass paint colors to trace over the design as you can see below.
On the base, I took a white sheet and shimmered it with golden, silver acrylic metallic colors over the orange base done with poster color. Overall it did bring out beautiful texture and the color combination was gracious. :)
You would need to let the painting dry for a good amount of time - at least overnight.

If you have fillers to be colored then you could use the glass colors directly on the glass - as they have nozzles too.
I prefer using the brush for the flexibility and comfort it offers. Pour the glass colors on a palette and use the brush to accomplish your work.

Food anatomization : Village Rooftop, Pune

After a short span of being shut down, this place has re-opened with a bang renaming itself to The Village Rooftop and Lounge from just The Village.

The first problematic thing is the non availability of a parking space - finding a parking spot is a task on the busy roads of Kondhwa.

My my as you enter you would find that the place so crowded over the weekend from eight-ish itself and it does not stop, people just keep pouring in.

They have brought about major changes in their décor and furnishings. As you enter through the village door, the numerous lights overheard add a beautiful charm - definite to bring about a smile! :)
Their attempts to incorporate the lounge format is not very impactful. The place is dimly lighted in the inside.
They have tried to accommodate more of the crowd which in turn has resulted in the tables being placed too close to each other - at least where we were seated we felt that way.
The walls are filled with some classy one liner posters on one end, yet looked little vacant comparatively.
They have a in house bar which looks quite fancy with chairs by it.
They were projecting football matches during the time we were there.
Rooftop allows you to enjoy the breezy and cool evenings.

Coming to the food - the menu is humungous - literally a big placard sort of a menu. They had almost 100 plus dishes on their menu - wow!!
We ordered for the TANGDI KABAB - standard preparation, well tandoor-ed tangdis - spicy and tasty!
The ANGARA KEBABS were grilled to perfection, balanced taste and went excellent with the green chutney.
Tried their famous JUJEH KEBABS - is an Iranian dish having chicken breast plainly marinated in lemon, salt ,pepper, turmeric powder and oil. A very simple dish, but I could not find my likeness for the dish - the chicken pieces had gone little tough for the teeth and the sour taste was not even. This one failed at my verdict.
For the mains we went for the MURGH PATIALA with the NAANS - a delicacy in itself. Tender pieces of chicken engulfed in an egg preparation served in gravy - impressive piece of delicacy. The garlic naans were just the icing on the cake. Just perfect! :)

The service is slow - you have to make hard attempts to draw the attention of the servers to your table.

Food anatomization : Eagle Boyz, Amanora Mall - Pune

Another of the good quick snacking options in Seasons.

Fairly crowded and spread around to have around 5-6 tables across - the place offers a variety of pizzas in the vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.

The ambiance is pretty vibrant - the colorful pictures from the pizza world - spicy one liners, and a special mention about the history of Eagle boys pizza, in a form of timeline on one the pillars - Fascinating!!

Ordered for the Mocktail - APPLE MOHITO - light and an energizing drink.
Ordered for the pizza TANDOORI PANEER 7" which was plated beautifully on a wooden pizza holder. The pizza was quite fulsome in terms of the quality, the loads of fresh cheese it was laden with, the slices of bell peppers along with the few pieces of tandoor-ed paneer, onions and paprika which was imparting certain amount of spiciness to the pizza.
In true sense simple, a place serving freshly baked & flavorsome pizza to gorge on to.
Definitely could give a strong competition to the other pizza outlets.

The staff is courteous yet the service is little slow comparatively.
